Tips for a Happy Baby at your next FAmily Photo Session

Make sure that baby is well-rested

  • Photo day is not the day to take a nap on the go or skimp on sleep. Make sure baby gets good rest prior to your shoot. If possible, do your best to plan the time of your session with consideration of baby's sleep schedule.

Baby should have a full Belly

  • Feed or give your child a snack just prior to your shoot, but before putting on their photoshoot outfit (to avoid stains). No one likes to be hangry!

Bring a favorite toy or stuffed animal

  • It's best to keep this hidden until it is needed (unless you are okay with having it in all your photos). It is fun to have a few photos with a favorite toy though, and it offers comfort when baby is just about over it at the end of the session.

Bring a toy that makes noise

  • The best way to get your little one to look straight at the camera is to stand directly behind me and make noise either with a toy or your voice. Toys are fun to add a little element of surprise, because baby's quickly lose interest in all of the people calling their name to "look here."

IF YOUR LITTLE ONE IS TEETHING- BRING A DROOL CLOTH AND BIB

  • To help keep clothing as dry as possible

DRESS YOUR BABY WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT YOUR PHOTOSHOOT LOCATION

  • This helps to limit the likelihood of untimely blow, spit-up and extra drool

Make sure to have a change of clothes that works with the outfits you have selected

  • In case of said untimely blowout, spit-up and extra drool .

Relax!

  • Your baby is adorable, so no matter what, we will get some adorable photos. The more relaxed you are the more you and your baby can enjoy the session together and make some memories.
