Happy 4th Birthday Siena!
How is my little one 4 years old already?! I loved doing a 4th birthday milestone session in my home-based natural light studio with Siena. The portraits perfectly captured her fun, silly & colorful personality. She loves ALL things pink, sparkles & unicorn. I just love how these photos came out--check them out below.
Siena also loves the Movie FROZEN--
So we hosted a fun 4th birthday party at our home in Upper St. Clair. We invited our family, and a few of Siena's close friends. It was fun & chaotic. All of the kids had a blast. I was so happy to support some amazing, local, Pittsburgh-based, female-owned businesses to help complete the birthday party with favors and of course- Cake! Icing on the Cake made the most stunning "Frozen" birthday cake. It was everything we hoped for and more, and it tasted amazing! We went with a cookies and cream cake with vanilla buttercream and, as usual, Morgan, from Icing on the Cake delivered! Check out the photos below and make sure to follow her on Instagram @icingonthecake_pgh and Facebook.
For the favors
We asked Alyson & Brooklynne from Camilia Crafts to make some "Frozen" themed dough. How cute are these?! The kids were so excited when they saw them, and the ladies from Camilia Crafts had them perfectly packaged in clear containers with lids and a cellophane bag with bow. They were just what we wanted. These have kept my kids busy for hours in the weeks following Siena's birthday. They are just so much fun!
Order from Camilia Crafts on their website- https://www.camiliacrafts.com

A few more of the details
Check them out below--
Frozen-themed pull string Piñata and purple/white balloons from Party City
Iridescent Happy Birthday Banner from Amazon
Pin the Nose on Olaf from Amazon
Purple & White Hydrangeas from Costco
I also found so many cute ideas on Pinterest--
I liked the idea for this rice sensory bin since I know how much my kids love them and it was so easy to put together with things I had around the house. Here is the recipe I used for dying the rice- https://happyhooligans.ca/rainbow-rice/ . I know, I know it seems a little crazy, but it really is so easy and you can store the rice and use it over and over. The first time a rice bin occupies your children for 30 + min you will know it is actually so worth it!!
We also made cute little snowman cheese sticks, and we had a build-your-own snowman craft with marshmallows, pretzel sticks, orange tic tacs, candy eyes & white icing.

The Food--
My hubby was per usual the pit master and made some amazing pulled pork on his Recteq smoker. We also had a variety of kid & adult friendly snacks and sides including mac and cheese, baked beans, slaw, corn cake casserole, fruit salad, chips, pretzels, veggie straws, "Frozen" themed go-gurts & juice boxes. We paired the smoked pork with rosé or my husband's home-brewed IPA for the adults.
I'm So happy to have these memories in photos
They are only little for so long and I'm so genuinely happy to have these beautiful photos to remember this precious time in our lives.
